Math routines are simple to implement and powerful tools for increasing student curiosity and engagement in mathematics. In this workshop, participants will explore a variety of high-impact routines, including Notice and Wonder, Which One Doesn’t Belong?, How Many?, and Slow Reveal Graphs.

These brief, 10-minute routines create meaningful opportunities for students to share their thinking, justify their reasoning, and engage in rich mathematical discussions—while also providing ongoing formative assessment for teachers.

Routines will be modeed across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Participants will experience each routine as learners and then develop a plan for integrating them into their own classrooms. All participants will leave with access to a wide range of grade-level routines ready for immediate use.
