Become an HSI Program CPR/First Aid Instructor through the HSI CPR Instructor Development Course.

This course is designed to provide the tools to help you teach, evaluate and certify participants in HSI emergency care training programs or instructors whose teaching authorization has lapsed, or otherwise affected by a quality assurance issue.

Participant Pre-Requisites

1. Instructor candidates must demonstrate a strong cognitive grasp of the subject matter and proficiently demonstrate all skills taught in the student-level program.
2. Current, valid student-level certification in CPR/First Aid and a competent demonstration of student-level skills for
   1. Responding to an emergency
   2. Adult - One Provider CPR AED
   3. Adult - Severe or Life-Threatening External Bleeding Control
   4. Child - One Provider CPR AED
   5. Infant - One Provider CPR AED
3. Medical knowledge and experience strongly recommended for those interested in training healthcare professionals
4. The recommended minimum age is 17. Maturity, responsibility and classroom presence should always be considered, regardless of age.
