This course is designed for certificated teachers and counselors who are pursuing their

National Boards for Professional Teaching Standards Certification. This 10-hour course will

overview the national boards process for the Component 3 Portfolio Submission: Teaching

Practice and Learning Environment. The course will assist participants in navigating the portfolio

entry and evidence needed for submission of Component 3 and the integration of National

Boards 5 Core Propositions and National Boards specific certificate area standards. It is

designed to provide feedback to candidates to promote success in their Component 3 portfolio

entry. *Candidates will need to submit 2 video entries and are responsible for their own

videotaping equipment.

Regardless of personal submission status, participants are expected to give feedback to fellow

candidates on their entries.

Candidates are expected to attend and participate in all cohort meetings.

Candidates are responsible for paying applicable National Boards fees directly to the National

Boards for Professional Teaching Standards (nbpts.org).
