This course is designed for certificated teachers and counselors who are considering pursuing their National Boards or just beginning their National Boards certification journey. This 6-hour Foundation course gives an overview of the national boards processes: the 4 Components that are submitted for scoring, the 5 National Boards Core Propositions and National Boards Certificate Standards, which portfolios, evidence and assessments are based upon, the timelines and due dates for National Boards. This course is specifically designed to assist new candidates in organizing their materials and time to jumpstart their learning of the language and processes of National Boards, and plan for their National Boards journey.

There will be no make-up for classes missed. Candidates will forfeit their clock hours associated with the class that is missing. 

This course will fulfill one of the OSPI Conditional Loan requirements.

This course is offered in person or virtual on Teams. Participants need to have sufficient internet connection to join video meetings and breakout rooms. Invitation to team and link will be shared via email from instructor after course payment to ESD123 is confirmed. Teams will be the learning management system for this course.
