Description

Cybersecurity Foundations for Every Classroom is a self-paced online course that equips educators with essential knowledge and practical strategies to create safe, secure, and inclusive digital learning environments. Through five modules, participants explore how cyberattacks impact K–12 schools, learn to protect student data and privacy, and develop skills to recognize threats such as phishing, scams, and social engineering. The course connects cybersecurity concepts directly to classroom practice, helping educators model and teach safe technology use across grade levels and content areas.

Participants engage in interactive activities, real-world scenarios, and reflection to analyze risks, identify vulnerabilities, and design strategies to strengthen cybersecurity practices in their classrooms. By the end of the course, educators will be prepared to safeguard student information, support students and families in navigating digital risks, and ensure equitable access to safe and responsible participation in online learning.

Note: Clock hours will not be able to be claimed until the conclusion of the course, August 31, 2026. Clock hours are $3.00 per clock hour with a $15.00 minimum per person per event. Even if less than 3 clock hours are claimed, the minimum $15.00 clock hour fee still applies.
