Move from awareness to a deeper understanding of the 2026 Washington State ELA Learning Standards. Participants will use the OSPI crosswalk and a collaborative standards exploration protocol to compare the Common Core State Standards with the revised standards, examine one priority standard, and identify important changes, continuities, and emerging questions.

Through individual exploration, grade-band collaboration, and domain-level synthesis, participants will consider how the revised standards position students as active decision-makers across reading, writing, speaking, listening, digital forums, language, and research and media literacy. Participants will leave with a practical protocol they can adapt for continued standards learning within their school or district.
