Description
Educators will deepen their understanding of the Smarter Balanced assessment system and the roles different types of assessments play in supporting teaching and learning. Participants will explore connections among assessment evidence, Washington’s ELA and mathematics standards and practices, academic vocabulary, and instructional decision-making. They will consider how evidence from a balanced assessment system can be used to understand student achievement, monitor growth and progress, and inform instruction. Participants will also explore educator resources and tools that can support assessment literacy, planning, and classroom practice.
