This 15-hour hybrid professional learning course combines two synchronous Professional Learning Community (PLC) sessions conducted via Zoom with asynchronous online learning. Participants will complete the AI+ Educator Certification program while exploring foundational artificial intelligence (AI) concepts, responsible and ethical AI use, instructional applications, lesson design, assessment strategies, and emerging trends in AI for education. Through collaborative discussions, hands-on exploration of AI tools, reflection activities, and classroom application, educators will develop the knowledge and skills needed to integrate AI effectively into teaching and learning.

Participants are expected to complete all synchronous PLC sessions and all asynchronous certification requirements by December 31, 2026.

Required Materials

Computer or Chromebook with reliable internet access

Webcam and microphone for participation in Zoom PLC sessions

Access to the AI+ Educator Certification learning platform (access instructions will be provided prior to the course)

Additional digital resources, articles, videos, and AI tools will be provided throughout the course by the instructor.

A link to the asynchronous curriculum will be emailed to registered participants during the first synchronous session.
