Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is an evidence-based training that equips participants with the knowledge and skills to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in youth. This blended course includes an online self-paced portion, followed by an instructor-led session focused on applying the MHFA Action Plan (ALGEE) in both non-crisis and crisis situations. Participants will engage in interactive activities, group discussions, and scenario-based practice, while also learning strategies for self-care as a First Aider.
