Description

Session 1:

Participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the CEL 5D Instructional Framework & 5D+ Rubric for Instructional Growth and Teacher Evaluation.

Session 2: 

Participants will focus on the how of teacher evaluation, learning about the growth-focused observation cycle and professional conversations focused on teacher growth.

Session 3:

Participants will take a deeper dive into the process of the teacher evaluation feedback cycle, focusing on step 1, self-assessment and reflection, in preparation to identify an area of focus and unit of study for student growth goals.

Session 4:

Participants will take a deeper dive into the process of the teacher evaluation feedback cycle, focusing on step 2, identifying an area of focus, and reflection in preparation to implement the work connected to student growth goals.

Session 5:

Participants will take a deeper dive into the process of the teacher evaluation feedback cycle, focusing on step 3: implement and support.

Session 6:

Participants will take a deeper dive into the process of the teacher evaluation feedback cycle, focusing Step 4: Analyzing Impact. Examine student and teacher data, analyze the impact of the data, and formatively discuss teacher growth using the 5D+ Rubric. Practice with the Post-Inquiry conversation architecture.
