One certified trainer from The Theraplay® Institute will provide a two day training for our region’s P-3 teachers on facilitating Sunshine Circles in their classrooms. This professional learning will help teachers learn how to introduce this evidence based, social emotional development group to their classroom. Sunshine Circles are adult-directed and structured with the teacher leading playful, cooperative and nurturing activities. Sunshine Circles are interactive and create an atmosphere of fun, caring, acceptance and encouragement that leads to better social, emotional, and cognitive development. While participants learn how to nurture their classroom with play, they will earn a Theraplay® certificate after successfully completing the 13 hour training.
