This course is part of ESD 105’s “Computer Science Getting Acquainted” series, designed to familiarize educators with a variety of bots and devices for introducing and teaching Computer Science topics, including computational thinking, coding, and problem-solving. Whether you’re a novice or experienced in STEM, STEAM, or Computer Science education, this course is suitable for all grade levels. Participants will gain practical knowledge to use bots and devices in their classrooms while also preparing their schools to host STEM/STEAM/CS-themed events for students and their families.

Become acquainted with the features of the Ozobot, a small robot that provides a hands-on approach to teaching programming and robotics through dual coding options using color-coded markers and block-based coding. After becoming acquainted with the Ozobot and the available library of lessons, participants will identify an idea for incorporating Ozobots into their classroom to foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students.
