Description

Are you curious about introducing students to coding and Computer Science in a fun and manageable way in just 1 hour? Do you need help planning a classroom lesson, a PD for teachers, or a STEM themed event for students and families? Or maybe you're interested in exploring coding but aren't quite ready to bring it to your classroom just yet? This course might be of interest to you!

This fully onlineasynchronous professional learning opportunity will introduce you to free coding resources and guide you in developing ready to implement a 1-hour coding activity for students, families, and/or teachers. Whether you're ready to launch an activity with students who are just beginning to explore, the course offers a step-by-step process to learn and design an activity with practical strategies.

Designed for both beginners and those with prior experience, this course features a range of Hour of Code® resources from Code.org—including unplugged activities, device-based coding, and AI-themed lessons—helping you refresh or revise your approach to Computer Science instruction.

Hour of Code® and Hora del Código® are registered trademarks of Code.org. The Hour of Code ® is a nationwide initiative by Code.org to introduce millions of students to one hour of computer science and computer programming.
