Curious about bringing more technology into your classroom? This course is part of ESD 105’s “Ed Tech: Getting Acquainted” series, designed to help educators explore a variety of tools, bots, and devices that support Educational Technology and Computer Science topics.
This course is suitable for all grade levels, for all levels of experience in teaching Educational Technology, Computer Science, STEM, or STEAM, Participants will gain practical knowledge and approachable ways to introduce the concepts into their classrooms. Planning a school or family event focused on technology? This session will also offer guidance and resources to help you design engaging tech experiences for students and their families.
This course will help you become acquainted with the Sphero BOLT, a versatile, app-enabled robot that offers a hands-on approach to teaching programming, engineering, and robotics. Through block-based and JavaScript coding options, Sphero BOLT engages students in interactive learning experiences that promote creativity and collaboration. After exploring the features of Sphero BOLT and online resources, participants will identify ways to incorporate the robot into their classroom to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and STEM skills.
