Are you planning for the re-opening of your classroom? Are you also wondering how to keep student engagement high regardless of where the learning is taking place? If so, this may be the professional learning you are looking for!
This professional learning focuses on the role of games to build mathematical fluency for students. Additionally the learning grows mathematical mindsets while students grow in number concept and procedural fluency. Participants will explore how to incorporate both choice and technology to support blended learning for teachers, students and families. Participants will build a Choice Board/Grid to use this fall!
Experience math games that have math as the engine of the game.
How to launch a game with students incorporating discourse strategies.
Consider why and how to integrate choice when playing math games.
Provide resources to support students and families with blended/online learning.
