Exploring EL Data for Progress, Support, and Equity

The primary target participants are EL and Assessment directors although the exploration of data may also be well suited for teams of district leadership that include Teaching and Learning as well as equity. The content will include some updates around the EL assessments and future steps in that area, but the bulk of the day will be spent exploring the EL Progress measure and what it means as well as EL data outside of assessment that can help districts better look at their systems and supports for EL students. There will also be opportunities for districts to provide input on the kinds of supports they need from the state to close the gaps for English Learners.
The majority of the work will be done in small groups and include a look at data, small and large group discussion.
