Description
Computer science isn’t just the domain of high school specialist teachers...every student at every grade level deserves to learn these important concepts. Washington State has implemented computer science standards for students in grades K-12, and it’s hard to teach all these important concepts in an hour of coding practice per week. Fortunately, it’s easier than you might think to incorporate computer science and computational thinking into your English-Language Arts instruction. No need to be a programing expert or even a beginner...you’ll learn the basics of computational thinking and computer science, practice coding simple projects in Scratch and other free programming environments, and think of ways to blend these important concepts into your existing curriculum.
