Sustainable Design - Solutions for our world

Presenters

  • Stacy Meyer

Description

Concerns over plastics and global warming are in the news regularly. We can teach the problems but how can one move toward solutions? One way is by designing them!  This session will provide an introduction to green chemistry and provide connections to circular economy and global warming. Through hands on activities and discussions, participants will use systems thinking to understand some of the impacts and trade-offs made during the design of more sustainable products. This class is appropriate for upper elementary or middle school.
