How do you help your students 'see what they can be?' In the Career Readiness STEM Café, K12 Educators will be introduced to ESD112 staff and their free programs and technical assistance to support the integration of career readiness and STEM-identity development beginning as early as Kindergarten. Each Café session will introduce the Career Connected Learning Continuum and focus on a particular program area. In this session, the ESD 112 team will dive into planning and implementing a Flipped Internship, a Career Exploration opportunity for any K12 class to partner with a local business or community partner. In a Flipped Internship, students tackle an authentic local challenge/problem under the mentorship of industry professionals who actually work on them! Attendees to the Café will receive guidance and tools on planning a Flipped Internship, as well as an opportunity to get started with your ideas.
