Description

This course will support educators working with students of all types. This 3-part course will explore the link between social-emotional learning and challenging behaviors and why social-emotional learning deserves the focus of educators. Beyond a reduction in challenging behaviors, those educators who prioritize social-emotional learning will see growth in the academic learning outcomes of their students. We all know that challenging behaviors of students can significantly impact the functioning of a classroom and it is reasonable to want to move towards an individual plan for just that student, but we hope that throughout this course educators will learn that setting up the environment and precursors to prevent behaviors can benefit all students. Join us for this look into social-emotional learning and how it can benefit you and your students.
