This SIOP (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) training helps teachers gain an in-depth understanding of the components of the SIOP Model and strategies to implement in their classrooms. Using the research-based book, “Making Content Comprehensible for English Learners: The SIOP Model,” participants will gain practical skills to collaborate, and implement lesson plans that incorporate the eight components of SIOP in order to teach content while developing students’ academic language. This model of instruction is designed to support Multilingual Learners and ALL students in making content instruction comprehensible and improve their academic achievement.
