CEL 5D Framework Training - Stages 1 & 2

Description
Stage 1:
Over the course of two days, participants will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the CEL 5D Instructional Framework & 5D+ Rubric for Instructional Growth and Teacher Evaluation. By the end of this stage, participants will:
- Understand the state context, expectations, implementation timeline
- Understand how the structure and vocabulary of the CEL 5D Instructional Framework & 5D+ Rubric for Instructional Growth and Teacher Evaluation supports the Washington criteria for teacher evaluation
- Understand the role of multiple sources of evidence in observation, feedback and goal setting
Intended Audience: Principals, Assistant Principals, and central office staff who evaluate teachers under the TPEP evaluation system.
In the 12 clock hours that are provided, participants may claim up to 12 leadership clock hours and up to 4 equity clock hours (not to exceed the total hours of the training series). Equity clock hours are aligned to CCDEI Standards 1a (Understanding Self), 1c (Responsiveness), 3b (Collaboration), 4c (Advocacy).
For all instructional frameworks, the stage 1 & 2 training aligns to the following PSEL standards: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

Stage 2:
Over the course of four days, participants will have the opportunity to increase their knowledge of the CEL 5D Instructional Framework & 5D+ Rubric for Instructional Growth and Teacher Evaluation by applying the framework and rubric in a formative and summative process. By the end of this stage, participants will have the capacity to:
- Give feedback
- Provide immediate support for implementing feedback
- Provide long-term professional development
Intended Audience: Principals, Assistant Principals, and central office staff who evaluate teachers under the TPEP evaluation system.
In the 24 clock hours that are provided, participants may claim up to 24 leadership clock hours and up to 8 equity clock hours (not to exceed the total hours of the training series). Equity clock hours are aligned to CCDEI Standards 1a (Understanding Self), 1b (Understanding Others), 1c (Responsiveness), 2a (Relationships), 2c (Service), 3b (Collaboration), 4a (Self-Reflection), 4b (Commitment), 4c (Advocacy).
