Description
CoderZ uses a virtual 3D world to teach coding through robotics on a Chrome browser.
During the COVID crisis, Amazon Future Engineer is sponsoring FREE ACCESS to CoderZ courses to schools affected by COVID-19. No coding experience is required, and this online workshop will equip teachers to:
- Access the free CoderZ courses
- Set up an online classroom
- Connect students to their virtual class
- Explore the course options
- Complete a few lessons from the student perspective
Class options include elementary and middle school courses using the LEGO EV3 robot, as well as advanced middle and high options using another virtual robot. Chromebooks are the preferred platform, but the courses will run in a Chrome browser on PC or Mac as well.
This workshop will provide 3 STEM clock hours upon completion of the 2+ hour on-line session and off-line completion of sample coding lessons of the participant's choosing.
