Description

Sometimes it feels like we're in a no-win situation this year due to COVID-19 and all the additional demands of remote teaching and learning. With the uncertainty of hybrid and remote schedules, it's hard to know what direction to take your professional development. The Professional Growth Plan cohort is a free, no-fail, supportive learning environment in which you can learn and grow at your pace and in the areas you choose.

ESD 112 is looking for paraeducators and teachers who want to:

  • Learn more about best practices for remote learning

  • Incorporate SEL and culturally responsive teaching practices into their work

  • Create a professional growth plan and earn clock hours for working intentionally toward the above goals

Participants will:

  • Enhance skills in remote learning and collaboration
  • Receive a $200 stipend and 25 free clock hours via PESB/OSPI after completion of professional growth plan
  • Receive coaching and support in creating and implementing a personalized professional growth plan
  • Be recognized for their professional learning

How it works:

  • Participate in a professional learning community with other educators via Canvas from now through May, and attend three synchronous (Zoom) sessions with your professional learning community

  • Learn about the professional growth plan process

  • With coaching and assistance from our expert facilitators, you'll create and implement a professional growth plan around best practices for distance learning/collaboration between teachers and paraeducators
