Using Google Classroom can feel overwhelming because while we may feel comfortable facilitating group work, we’re not sure how to replicate it when it comes to doing the same in the virtual environment. There are so many things to keep track of, from using different apps, to having students complete quizzes or written assignments. Keeping track of everything can feel downright daunting. If this describes you, then this is the workshop for you.

We’ll begin by understanding what Google Classroom’s capabilities are. From creating assignments and quizzes, to facilitating group discussions, and scoring assignments. From there, we’ll look at how the student view and the teacher view differ, and how we can differentiate assignments for the students in our classrooms. We’ll look at the types of assignments you can create, both within the integrated Google Workspace environment and with tools outside of the Google ecosystem. Next, we’ll dive into the processes for streamlining the grading of assignments. Finally, we’ll look at the ways in which Google Classroom can be used to increase both collaboration and student engagement.

The clock hour fee upon completion of the course is $6 paid to ESD112. 

Once you complete the course and receive the certificate of completion from Grassroots, you will claim the clock hours in pdEnroller. The claim code for this course is XAT-VPL.  You will upload your certificate of completion, complete the short survey, and pay for the clock hours.  Once all the steps have been completed, the clock hours will record on a pdEnroller transcript.
