This webinar-style session is designed for anyone who creates or shares digital content in schools: teachers, communication staff, admin teams—you name it. We’ll walk through the "why" behind accessibility (think Section 508, mobile readability, and real-life student needs), then dive into practical, doable steps for making your docs, slides, and websites more inclusive.

You’ll see how small changes—like using descriptive links, headings, and alt text—can make a big difference. We’ll also explore built-in tools in Microsoft and Google that support accessible design (no extra software needed!). Whether you’re brand new to this or just want a refresher, you’ll leave with actionable tips and a better understanding of what equitable communication really looks like.

This course can be taken as part of the 70 clock hours required for the General Paraeducator Certificate. It also meets the Advanced Paraeducator Certificate requirements. For more information please refer to the PESB Website. 

The total cost for this course, including registration fee and clock hour fee, will be $13.00*. You won't be asked to pay the clock hour fee until after the course has finished and attendance has been marked. You must cancel your registration prior to the training time in order to receive a refund for your registration fee.
