If you believe healthy relationships are a powerful way to approach teaching and learning and are caught in a never-ending cycle of work that prioritizes everything but relationships, then this workshop is for you. Let’s imagine, design, and implement a plan to co-create and sustain a healthy classroom community that supports the social emotional learning needs of all.

We will start by exploring the field of social emotional learning (SEL) and examining the need for it in the context of our lives. Then, we will reflect on what SEL might look like within our teaching disciplines, the learners we teach, the educators we collaborate with, and within ourselves. We will then craft a plan that is aligned to your program, department, or district, to prioritize social emotional well-being and healthy relationships in the teaching and learning of your discipline. Finally, we will implement the plan, create systems of support, and commit to prioritizing healthy relationships at school.
