Description
Are you wondering how Cognitively Guided Instruction in Math problems help your students develop better number sense and build stronger connections between the four operations and real-world concepts? Then this CGI Math mini workshop will start you on your journey.
We will begin by understanding how the CGI problem types can help your students become more confident and independent problem solvers. You will learn about the different CGI problem types and when and how to use them. Use the CGI problem types to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of all your students. I will demonstrate how to craft CGI problems to reflect your classroom community and discover where to find more problems for days when you need a little inspiration. Lastly, see how the CGI problem types can prepare your students to succeed on state assessments and ways to integrate the CGI problem types into your current curriculum.
If all of this sounds good to you, then this mini workshop will provide you with the tools you need to get going on your CGI problem-solving journey.
