Presenters
- Corina McEntire
- Anna Piasecki
Description
This 1-hour interactive session provides a practical, step-by-step introduction to developing a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for schools. A COOP is a vital document that outlines how a school can maintain essential functions during and after a disruption—whether caused by natural disasters, technological failures, or public health crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will learn how to build a plan that minimizes downtime, protects key operations, and supports a smooth recovery process. The session includes a detailed overview of the planning process, a guided walk-through of a customizable COOP template, and time for Q&A. Attendees will leave equipped with both the knowledge and tools needed to begin developing their school’s COOP.
