Description
This session is designed specifically for student support professionals — including school counselors, school psychologists, and SEL/behavioral health staff who are navigating the rise in anxiety-driven support requests and accommodations. We’ll unpack the difference between healthy stress and clinical anxiety, explore how avoidance and “escape practices” can unintentionally worsen symptoms, and highlight what effective support looks like. Participants will leave with practical, developmentally appropriate strategies to build student resilience, coach teachers and families, and create plans that support engagement—not withdrawal.
Come drink coffee with us! Join us in this collaborative and dynamic school-based network, which aims to enhance your skills and provide you with valuable resources to empower students for success in their social-emotional development.
Open to all who work with students in a SEL capacity within the ESD112 region (school counselors, psychologists, social workers, district leaders, therapists, SAPs, advocates, family liaisons, nurses)
