A workshop approach to mathematics instruction can be a game changer when it comes to engaging, challenging, and supporting every student. This session will help teachers with practical ways to establish student-centered learning opportunities that promote collaboration and classroom discourse. 

We will start with building consensus on what math workshop is and how you can prepare students for learning in a workshop classroom. Then we will focus on how to engage students with a positive first impression, learning stations, and a blend of whole-group and small-group instruction. Lastly, we will consider how to merge this approach with what you are already doing so that you do not feel like you are starting from scratch.

The clock hour fee upon completion of the course is $6 paid to ESD112. 

Once you complete the course and receive the certificate of completion from Grassroots Workshops, you will claim the clock hours in pdEnroller using the claim code D6T-GRY. You will upload your certificate of completion, complete the short survey, and pay for the clock hours. Once all the steps have been completed, the clock hours will record on a pdEnroller transcript.
