This is the required training for PE Teachers who will be offering the Let’s Go! Bicycle Education Program at their elementary school. This event in in-person, only eligible for Grade 3 – 5 teachers, and at schools who were previously selected for participation.

This will prepare you to teach the 210-minute Let’s Go! Bicycle Education Curriculum, which can be taught in a school gym or outside on a smooth surface. We will instruct how to use bikes, helmets, and other equipment. No previous knowledge is required.

Dress comfortably, as we will spend time on and around program bicycles, and helmets will be provided. If you’d like to bring your own helmet you may.

Lunch and light breakfast snacks will also be provided.

Reimbursement Details:

• Mileage will be reimbursed if using your personal vehicle.

• A stipend will be provided if you are outside your normal contract days (est $225)
• Substitute teacher costs will be re-imbursed to your district
• If overnight travel is necessary, you may be reimbursed for 2 nights maximum, as per WA per diem rates where the hotel is located ($___ before tax for Battle Ground, WA). A photo of your receipt with your signature will be required.
• Meals will be reimbursed at the WA per diem rates ONLY IF OVERNIGHT TRAVEL IS NECESSARY.
