Description

This asynchronous course is part two of a two-part social-emotional learning course series. It is recommended that prior to taking this course, you take part one in order to support your foundational knowledge in this topic. This course meets the criteria for required training in the area of social-emotional learning under Washington state law (RCW 28A.150.415). This course also meets the criteria for Equity clock hour requirements for certificate renewal for certificated staff as well as Educational Leadership clock hours.

In this course, Starting to Apply Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in the Classroom, participants will continue their learning on how SEL fits into education and works to support the whole child as well as the teacher. Taking the self-awareness gained in part one of this course series and using it to build an understanding of how and why this applies to our classroom practices. This course will hopefully deepen understanding and push practice forward.
