Join school district teams from across the state that are engaged in exploring and implementing modified school-year calendars. Participating districts are those that received OSPI Balanced Calendar Grants in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 school years. District teams of up to 5 participants will engage in a day and a half long summit aimed at supporting Balanced Calendar Initiative grantees. The two-day event will include: 

• Keynotes by 

  • Chris Reykdal, Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction 

  • David Hornak, Executive Director of the National Association for Year-Round Education and Superintendent of Holt Public Schools (Michigan)

• Breakout learning sessions by district size, job-alikes & more

• Collaboration & networking opportunities with other grantees

Breakfast & lunch will be provided on both days.
