Description
In many ways, teaching a highly capable student, or advanced learner, doesn't seem much different than teaching any other student. However, because of their unique learning needs, dynamic personalities, and neurodiversity (2e), the need for professional development couldn’t be more important.
Join us for a day-long learning experience to learn about the traits and characteristics of highly-capable students, how they are unique, and look at the routines and procedures in your classroom that create the learning environment where all students can thrive.
After an hour long lunch, we’ll focus on some hands-on experiences and explorations of critical and creative thinking strategies that will enhance every classroom - PBL, modeling with LEGO bricks, Depth & Complexity and more.
Whether you are new to the profession, leading a clustered classroom, leading in a self-contained classroom, or supporting students in the general education classroom, there will be something to take away!
