Join us this June at Capital Region ESD 113 in Tumwater, WA for a transformational learning experience featuring author and learning expert Lori Cohen, co-author of "The PD Book: 7 Habits that Transform Professional Development" and "Integrating Educator Well-Being, Growth, and Evaluation: Four Foundations for Leaders."

June 23 includes a keynote and two large-group sessions facilitated by Lori and her co-author Elizabeth Denevi. On June 24, participants embark on a find-your-own-adventure journey, with more than 10 breakout sessions by teachers, for teachers that will elevate classroom practice.

Specific sessions from Lori include:

Making Transformational Learning Happen - We must move from transactional, reactive approaches to transformational, proactive practices to meet our students' array of social and academic needs. This session will help equip participants with tools to create dynamic classroom cultures and design intentional lessons that invite student agency and promote self-direction and independence.

Building a Healthy Educator Ecosystem - Educator growth, wellbeing, and evaluation are often disconnected. This session will explore a framework for creating a healthy ecosystem of school transformation. You'll investigate research-informed practices, tools, and case studies. Lori will co-facilitate this session with fellow author Elizabeth Denevi. Their upcoming book will be released July 28, 2025.
