None of us feel comfortable with change. Hearing the cries from our students is imperative no matter what school setting they work in. It is our job to answer their needs. In a Trauma-Informed classroom, all needs can be met. This goal, of meeting all student needs, is impossible to achieve in our traditional classroom setting, but very possible in a classroom based on being trauma informed and trauma ready! Participants will be given time to study and review the 5 Domains of current trauma informed based research and self-reflect on the status of their own classroom. Research based Trauma Informed strategies will be discussed. With some creativity, these strategies can be implemented in a real or virtual classroom setting.
