Description
This introductory course for teachers of students in upper elementary and the secondary grades will set the foundation for continued learning via synchronous and asynchronous course modules throughout the 2022-23 school year. Participants will gain an understanding of the characteristics and needs of students in upper elementary and secondary grades who struggle to read content text materials, the foundational concepts of the Science of Reading, and successful literacy strategies and supports for tier-1 instruction within an MTSS framework.
Knowledge of The Science of Reading is not a pre-requisite for this class.
