Description
Digital accessibility is more than just a legal requirement — it’s an opportunity for your program, department, or district to reach and engage more audiences than ever before. As the May 2024 updates to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act come into effect, all agencies receiving federal funding need to evaluate their practices, processes, and products to ensure they meet compliance. This introductory training will introduce core accessibility concepts, recommend an accessibility-centered process for creating accessible documents and digital spaces, and propose key practices that you can implement today in your documents, website, presentations, or social media presence.
Participants will leave with resources, access to free accessibility tools, and language to advocate for integrating accessibility into agency processes, practices, and procedures.
Participants across all roles and employers are invited to join this training. The training will be offered in person at ESD 113 or via Zoom.
