Description

Methods & Materials for Teaching ESL Students was written to help teachers understand concepts and terms related to educating students whose first language is not English. This course discusses how to apply instructional methods in creating lessons; how to create a motivating and caring learning environment; how to integrate teaching reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills; how to differentiate instruction for English language learners; and how to identify culturally appropriate curriculum and instructional resources.

Event Notes

To register for VESi classes with clock hours through ESD123 please follow the directions below.

Step 1: Select the green "Register Now!" button to begin the process of paying the clock hour fee.
Step 2: Visit the VESi website to pay the $140 courseware fee or call VESi at 1-800-313-6744 between 8:00AM-5:00PM PST, Monday through Friday.
Step 3: Turn all course materials into VESi upon completion.
Step 4: Your clock hour form will be accessible through your account on this site after we receive completion confirmation from VESi. You will receive an e-mail from esd123@mail.pdenroller.org once it is recorded.
