Legislation updated HB 1214 to require all School Resource Officer’s, SRO’s and School Security Officer’s, SSO’s, to receive training in 12 content areas, within 6 months of working on school property when students are expected to be present. The HB originally required this for SRO’s only, it now includes, SSO’s, to also include private security hired by school districts that will be working when students are expected to be on present.
