Description
This training is designed for those that will be providing teachers the Danielson Teacher Overview to teachers in their districts. Over the course of the training, participants will get an introduction to the updated Danielson Framework for teaching as a tool for examining and improving teacher learning and teaching practice. After completing the training, participants will be provided access to the Teacher Overview Training materials by OSPI.
Participants will:
- Know about adult learning theory and how to meet the needs of adult learners.
- Understand the overall structure, the language, and Common Themes of the Framework for Teaching.
- Know the domains and components of the Framework for Teaching and be able to identify examples of practice that illustrate those components.
- Identify the essential characteristics of each of the Frameworkâs levels of performance.
- Know and understand the Framework for Teaching
- As a tool for supporting effective and equitable teaching practices.
- As it relates to the Collaborative Observation Process.
- As it is used for teacher professional growth.
