Description

Fluency is more than just a fast-paced game—it’s an equity issue. When we provide students with the strategies to make sense of numbers, we open the door to mathematical confidence for every learner. Join us for a session dedicated to the "hidden" numeracy skills that must exist before addition and subtraction can even begin.

We know that "doing math" should feel like making sense, not just memorizing. This session is designed for Preschool and Elementary staff ready to transform their math block. We will move past the "what" of basic facts and dive deep into the "how" of early numeracy.

Fluency is a journey, not a race. Join your K-2 colleagues to explore the foundational numeracy skills that pave the way for addition and subtraction mastery. We’ll investigate the fluency progression and practice intentional routines and games designed to ensure all learners have the opportunity to become confident mathematicians.
