Description

Description: Patterns that Connect: An Equitable Path to Integrated Sensemaking join us for several immersive sessions designed to highlight the power of patterns thinking as a connected skill across math, literacy, and science. Together, we will experience integrated activities that model how noticing and using patterns helps students make sense of complex ideas, deepen understanding, and transfer their thinking across content areas. Teachers will learn practical ways to nurture “pattern thinkers” in their own classrooms. Students who can recognize relationships, build explanations, and confidently link learning from one subject to another. We will also explore equitable strategies that uplift multilingual learners and students with special needs, ensuring all children have access to rich, coherent, and integrated sensemaking opportunities. By the end of the course, participants will walk away with strategies, ideas, and inspiration to bring the power of patterns thinking to life for every learner.
