This workshop will:

• Address the identification of physical, emotional, sexual, and substance abuse;
• Provide information on the impact of abuse on the behavior and learning abilities of students; and,
• Identify methods for teaching students about prevention of all types of abuse.

Participants will learn about available community resources and how to engage the family in the use of these resources.  

This course meets the Issues of Abuse requirements for candidates who are applying for a continuing certificate after August 31, 1992 (WAC 180-79A-030).

Issues of Abuse training will be conducted virtually. Zoom link will be provided via email prior to the training.
