This 7-pert series is designed to help co-teaching teams make the most of their time in the classroom (whether remotely or in-person).   Recordings of each session will be available for two weeks following the session.  Buildings and districts in the ESD 123 region may be eligible to participate at a reduced cost (contact Kelley Correio, kcorreio@esd123.org for details).  Participants should already be part of a co-teaching team.


September 23 - Session 1:  How to Develop a Strong Co-Teaching Partnership by Creating Parity

Co-Teaching has two goals; effective instruction and a positive co-teaching relationship. This session will work on effective communication techniques to promote parity in the co-teaching relationship.

October 21 - Session 2: Making the Most of the 6 Co-Teaching Formats and Effective Co-Planning

Effective co-teaching includes the utilization of the 6 co-teaching formats. This session will focus on the 6 formats and how to use them both in the face to face and virtual classroom.

November 18 - Session 3: Differentiation in the Co-Taught Classroom; Environment, Assessment and Anchor Routines 

Differentiation supports all learners in a classroom. Co-Teachers can work together to make differentiation more effective and manageable. This session will focus on differentiating the environment and setting up anchor routines.

January 20 - Session 4: Differentiation in the Co-Taught Classroom; Process 

Differentiation supports all learners in a classroom. Co-Teachers can work together to make differentiation more effective and manageable. This session will focus on differentiating the instructional process; the how of instruction.

February 17 - Session 5:  Differentiation in the Co-Taught Classroom; Content

Differentiation supports all learners in a classroom. Co-Teachers can work together to make differentiation more effective and manageable. This session will focus on differentiating the content and tiered lesson design.

March 17 - Session 6: Addressing Co-Teaching Logistics; Making it Work

Co-teaching is a lot of work and the struggles are real. This session will focus on issues that can arise and interfere within a co-teaching partnership. Possible solutions will be provided  along with group problem solving.

April 21 - Session 7: Celebration of Success in Co-Teaching

This session will focus on the celebrations of the co-teaching cohort and the many successes experienced during the school year.
