The Safety Net process involves several key steps and documentation for LEAs seeking additional funding for IEP High-Need Individuals and Community Impact. LEAs must submit various forms and attachments through the EGMS application system, including Worksheet A, IEPs, budget reconciliations, and expenditure reports. The process includes a demonstration of capacity at the LEA level, detailed student demographic data, and specific staff costs. Conditional awards are announced during the June meeting and final awards in August, both conducted via Zoom. OSPI staff may follow up with applicants post-submission, and updates to Worksheet C forms are required for applications initially submitted in March.
