Description

Join Okanogan Conservation District and Classroom in Bloom for an experiential, outdoor, and hands-on program showcasing K-6th grade garden curriculum. At this Garden and Science Teachers Training Workshop, Classroom in Bloom will teach grade specific and standards-based lessons while providing tools for engaging children in garden and science-based activities. It is an opportunity for teachers to share their garden experiences and continue building momentum for school gardens in Northcentral Washington. For those interested in starting a school garden, we will use this opportunity to connect you with valuable resources for future farm to school programming.

Lunch will be provided at no cost to teachers thanks to grant funding. Optional transportation and carpooling from Okanogan Conservation District to Classroom in Bloom will be provided to those interested.

Teachers will receive grade-specific, NGSS lessons for gardens and teaching materials.
