Paraeducator Fundamental Course of Study: FCS02 Methods of Educational & Instructional Support
This four-hour professional learning opportunity is for instructional paraeducators, K-12. Participants will deepen their understanding of the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS) requirements, specifically instructional support methods to assist classroom teachers and meet the needs of the diverse population of students. This session covers 4 of the required 28 units of study hours that align with the FCS learning objectives.
Objectives:
Introduce diverse learning styles and strategies best suited to enhance and complement students various learning styles
Identify strategies to support classroom environments and apply materials to meet the goals of equitable and inclusive learning environments
Recognize appropriate instructional support materials which represent and support various cultures and abilities
