Description
CPR has changed here in FWPS. You will be taking a hybrid online American Heart Association First Aid & CPR Course. You will follow the link, register for the course, pay the fee. The course will take around 4hrs to complete. There is a fee of $20.50 plus tax that you will pay directly online after you register for the course.
Once you complete your online portion, email your certificate, or bring a printed copy with you to testing. Then you will test with one of our CPR/First Aid instructors on the specific testing date you picked. There will be a Signup Genius link sent in the directions so you may pick a hands-on testing slot. The testing will only take about 15mins and there is optional practice time if you arrive early.
The cost will be $15.50 for the card fee and in-person testing; you will pay here: https://wa-federalway.intouchreceipting.com We can not accept any other forms of payment.

- Show up to the testing slot on this hands-on testing day
There are NO CLOCK hours for this course. Minimum time spent 4 hrs. Total Cost $36.95 ($21.45 online, $15.50 hands-on testing)

Step 2 Complete the Heart Saver Total course and “Optional” Pediatric course * The pediatric course is required by FWPS. Do not take the short version of the course. FWPS requires the full OSHA-approved course. *Take both of these courses before taking the survey:
If you finished the course and realized you missed the pediatric portion, follow these steps:

Step 3 Send your completed certificate to maparis@fwps.org by the end of the day Friday before your skills test. ***Be sure that “CHILD CPR, AED, and Choking Relief” is listed under the TOPICS INCLUDED near the bottom of your certificate. If it is missing, you will need to take that portion of the course and send me an updated certificate before taking your skills test. Your completed certificate should look like this:

Step 6 Arrive on time for your testing appointment. Address: Educational Service Center (ESC) ROOM 104 33330 8th Avenue South Federal Way, WA 98003 (Park on the left side of the building and enter through the side entrance). Double-check the date and time for your appointment. If you have symptoms or an emergency, please email maparis@fwps.org and us let know that you will need to reschedule.

Step 7 Watch your district email for your e-card. Your e-card will be in your district email or junk mail within 10 business days. If you do not see your card, try to search “ecards” from your work email, please reach out if you don’t receive it.
